These stock deals "private placements" appear to be very convoluted and difficult to understand. I will try to get a better grasp on the situation by studying them a little more. I must admit it though on the surface it doesn't look good. All in all in would be acceptable to expect some sort of cash generating financing activity to get them through to the point of having saleable goods. I'm not disturbed that this has taken place, what is disturbing is the methods, they seem quite expensive and from a share holders prospective, dilutive. Perhaps there was no alternative available.

I found the conference call to be somewhat informative and less than spectacular. I'm not sure if they weren't better off leaving some of these things to the imagination of investors. The NEC partnership doesn't seem like such a big deal. If it is a big deal then they understated it, for reasons I can't understand.

In the near term I see nothing to help this stock. IQX-200 sales seem to be what they are hanging thier hat on for a few more quarters. That with existing product lines will have to sustain them until we see significant sales of the Gigamux line. NET+arm is a great product but once again sales outside of printer OEM's are off in the future. The product is based on an ARM processor, Osicom doesn't make it and ATMEL isn;t the only one who does. The OS Ps something isn't the only one of it's kind either. How unique is Osicom network software or algorythums that are run on the chip? Good question, many network companies have software. Software is a big part of a network product. So is this product reproducable with simply different versions of the same three componets? I'd have to say it is likely.

Gigamux. Represents the best opportunity. They describe the sales process as painfully slow. There also has been floated the idea that these systems sales can not be publicized beacuse it is possible a customer would want to somehow hide the fact they had 16 channels on the same fiber, for which they are paying someone a lease. Not sure if that is true, if so that's hardly a good way to court customers. I can't get much of a read on wether this will be succesful or not, and more importantly when. I surely can say nothing they said about Gigamux excited me.

Nothing was mentioned from R&D. They have many technologies purchased, yet not a single word on what they are building. RF, sattelite? Are there any products in the pipeline?

I've been a long time supporter of Osicom but I must say that I am presently feeling very non-plussed.
