Greg and Bob,
I think the stock is going to move up into the May 25th announcement.
I'm assuming that there will be at least two tier 1 takers. Compaq and IBM not to mention Cybermax, CTX, Acer and maybe HP.
I'd like to see some benchmarks on the K6-3d. If it equals
the Video intensive benchmarks of the Pentium II it will be a winner.
Do I remember correctly that the die is about 81mm2?
After the announcement what is there? K7 seems a ways off.
As far as Slot 1, even if Intel licenses it they have a huge lead.
On the other hand I can't see all the boxmakers just handing the whole CPU market back to Intel by abandoning Socket 7...so Intel can jack up the price of processors later down the road. Even Dell is probably secretly pulling for AMD and NSM.
Jim
