Khris,
I think it's solid but not as solid as it once was. AMD is real competition at the low/mid end. You have to remember that Intel is the most profitable large company in world history. That was already factored in the stock price. There is just confusion whether Intel will be able to remain that dominant. In retrospect though, Intel has done a tremendous job staying ahead of the competition. Especially when you consider the Pentium II is a reworked Pentium Pro.
