Hi puddinhead, It is refreshing to come to a thread that causes people to think without Jew bashing. Another consideration for the 2nd witness is Enoch who clearly did not die but was taken to Heaven by God. Isn't it interesting that the 2 witnesses are accused of starting plagues and things like that by the anti-christ. I wonder if these illnesses and troubles are from God to soften hearts or if they will be falsely accused by the head liar? Like Yeshua said when you see the clouds you say it will rain and it does, how is it you can not see the sign of the times. As the clouds get closer we will see clearer which way these scriptures are being fulfilled. We know if approx. 97% of the prophecies have been fulfilled the final 3 are sure to come as written and this includes the awesome return of the King of Glory on the clouds. I heard a beautifull lesson on the rainbow and it related to the rainbow in Ezekiel that has a throne in the middle of the top of it and the Son of Man was on it. Then you go to Genesis after the flood and God says when I see my bow in the clouds I will remember my covenant with man. I believe that is a glimpse of His return in Glory and Majesty :-))))))))) Nancy

Dear puddinhead, One other small thing, if God has foresaken Israel as a Nation, (as so many are saying) then why did He give these prophecies to Daniel regarding the future of Israel as a Nation? Nancy

Tom, I just reread Rev. 9 the 5th trumpet judgement. Real supernatural stuff here. From my NIV Bible; 'The 5th angel sounded his trumpet and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like that of a scopions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass or tree or plants of the earth only those who did not have God's seal on their foreheads (remnant of 144,000). They were not given power to kill them (those who took the beast mark) for 5 months only to torture. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man. During this time men will seek death but not find it, they long to die but death eludes them" What did these creatures look like, lets continue verse 7: " The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle (they were big). On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was like women's hair and their teeth were like lion's teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron and the sound of their wings was like a thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. They had tails and stings like scorpions and in their tails they had power to torment people for 5 months". Can you picture this happening. Pretty scary stuff.
