Dearest Gregor. You know, in all of our dear Christian wisdom, sometimes we see Darrell living without movement and without anything but speech as a wonderful victory. And we leap for joy. Because he's still here.

But God doesn't always see it that way, and thinks there is something much better. Maybe that's the way Darrell felt too. Don't feel too bad about these things until you talk them over with our Father.

Prayer now definitely needs to be extended to the survivors. I think that's what prayer is really about, the survivors living with loss. I think we step out of this shell and apparently are thrilled to be rid of it from all accounts, no matter how great the shell thinks it is.

Darrell just stepped out of something that no longer worked. It's o.k. It would be a far more wonderful thing if his whole destroyed spinal column had been miraculously pieced back the way it was, and that is something few people really have the faith for, and so I have never heard of it happening. So if he steps out of the shell, I don't think that means God wasn't listening. He just had a better idea.

Gregor:

<<I feel we can lift up the surviving wife, mother and family members to God in prayer. I know very little of the circumstances and do not even know her name but I am sure that God does.>>

Father, I do so lift them in prayer to you now. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

In Christ, Tom
