K-tel has a target price of What??
A real bargain??
Perhaps that is your personal target, but you won't find any firms to back up that Hype.

People,
Don't take this guy's word for it. I'm sure he is wrong. Read the news on K-tel and look at the last SEC filings (Q2 98). You can find them at sec.gov
If you still think it's a sound investment after that, so be it. It's your money.

The so called experts didn't seem to take into account that KTEL already sells its records to people like Wal-Mart and BestBuy... and that these customers can and do already compete on the internet.

Walmart already has inventory (no extra costs) and that inventory is already distributed across the country. So shipping costs will be lower. Walmart has incredible buying power with people like Sony Music, so their margins will be wider. KTEL has already said they are going to sell the records online at a price of 10% over costs.... You can be sure that is 20% over Walmarts costs.

Walmart is a name, and the mgmt there are pretty sharp... if they smell demand, they will ramp up.
Walmart has more $$$$ in the bank, and more advertising budget.

Walmarts Site is up and already doing business. Comparing prices on the same CD will be easy..... IF there is any money to be made selling CDs on the net (and so far there is no evidence of that), then KTEL is gonna have lots of big players to fight for every $.
