Jim,

I'm somewhat limited during the day, but tonight I plan to research WSJ.com, etc. and get an address for either letters or, preferably, e-mail to the editor. I think a written campaign is best.

Did you see this morning's edition, "Small Stock Focus", page C7? They quote yesterday's article and are making it seem even more credible. On top of that, they don't even list BTIM in either small caps or regular, which certainly has an "ominous" appearance. I wonder what their interest is in slamming our stock?

Best regards,

AD

Hi Jim,

I've followed this board for a long time now, and decided it was time to join up with you. I already contacted the WSJ and told them how disgusted I was that they would print such an article as the one that appeared yesterday. I'm sure you know emotional and excitable it is on the yahoo board (where I post a lot). You and Mark V. tend to have very calm well thought out opinions, opinions which I'd like to from time to time post over on the yahoo board (to bring some reason to that board). we all get carried away and yes, the board can be quite entertaining, but I find that there are too many blatant lies on that board. At least here the arguments are professional ones (at least calm and rational). I'm very long on this stock and have been for over a year and half. There is a lot of hoopola over there (I feel like I'm in the university library now, and over there, it can be the insane asylum.) I do assume my fair share of the blame there, but only because there are so many lies being strewn about, I get carried away. I'm generally a very reasonable woman and will certainly remain so on this board. I do not think that most of the people on yahoo read SI, although i have encouraged them to do so. I have tried to get you and the others (the erudite cousins) to post every once in awhile, (and I know you do) but I decided it might be easier for me to mediate between the two camps. At least this way we can all try to deal with facts and reasonable opinions. I hope my presence here will be a welcomed one.

Jim - re: TA

Can you honestly look at BTIM's chart and not be concerned from a TA viewpoint? A few weeks ago you did not expect to see support at 11 broken. We have now closed in single digits.

Look at the chart and try to pretend that it is not BTIM's chart. What would your honest analysis be? Is it possible that your emotional attachment to BTIM is clouding your obvious TA skills?
