dave, had the same thing happen to me twice in the last 12 months and I lost all my data, only to recover from my backup zip disk. I haven't had any problems with my drive like some angry posters here and I really do like zips, but will they ever become a standard, who knows?

I only use zip for a couple months.

I threw all my floppy away. I still keep the floppy drive, of course. Do not know if zip will replace floppy as a standard but zip is really more convenient than floppy.
