Completely OFF TOPIC ...

Just in case somebody has plenty of time to read a long dry article, here is the 1997 annual report of the Dallas Fed. I found it interesting because it is about the real cost of things one uses in life in terms of the average hourly wage of nonsupervisory employees. The wage number they use now is $13.18 and it talks about the costs of things in terms of the time needed to earn them, comparing certain items to what they cost in the past. It is an indication of the progress of civilization with mention of the improvements in design and quality of the goods, saying we are getting more for our money.

GRNO's EnviroEconomics (TM) plant design is an example of a "good" that didn't even exist in the past but has come into existence while we watched human effort responding to a need.
