asking for help is one thing, stepping in and declaring an emergency situation as a means to "nationalize" the activities and profits of a private company is quite another.

Hopefully, this is extreme fringe stuff and would never happen. I would much rather see the gov. use its influnce through the sec and other channels to prod ceo's to make the hard choices on y2k that many seem to be draing their feet on.

i think the fed govt is going to be in big trouble.......along with 50 state governments.......and industry is awakening.
cnbc and the washpost are profiling y2k......when does critical mass hit?

tava poised for a big push....imo.
