Jane,

The confusion and dimensia that lies in your mind becomes so tangible when your retorts are so filled with judgements, assumptions, inaccuracies, hate, and just plain old bigotry. You could not be further from the truth, yet you "know" in your mind my reality. How queer.

And speaking of queers, no I'm not gay. As a matter of fact, my personal opinion of homosexuality is that is pretty gross, even repulsive. But that's just my opinion and I wouldn't judge anyone the worse for it unless they were trying to surprise me with an invasive cavity search. I've been approached by gay men my whole life, due to my good looks, I'm sure. Even as a 15 year old I was nearly molested by a gay man who wanted to perform "medical experiments" under a covered parking garage. I had to jump from a moving car. Living on the North side of Chicago for 10 years I had my share of solicitations and stares. One of my roommates had a brother that was killed by Gacy. Do I hold this against all homosexuals? Absolutely not. Should all heterosexuals be chastised because of Ted Bundy. Just as there are losers in the hetero-world who would molest and rape, doesn't mean that hetero-sexuality should be condemned because of them. Do I think it's genetic? Not really, but I think some men have a propensity to become gay. So what. Some men have a propensity to become adulterers and others alcoholics. Gene or not its not what I would call being normal.

Oh yeah - I never said Jesus was gay. Never. I did find a web-site concerning this and passed it on the Christine when she asked her question. I forgot that I should keep blinders on and ignore the realities of unlimited information flow. I keep an open mind most of the time - that's the way God made me.

And the only thing I said about Joan of Arc was the she must have been intense. Could you see yourself out on a battle field, wielding a sword..... nevermind on that one.

Hunter Vann wrote of love and scripture and sin. And you call him satan. You are filled with hate. You hate me. You hate Christine. You hate Emile and I'm sure many more. I hate noone(except sometimes my wife). I have 4 beautiful children. They read the bible often, go to church every week. But they also play Mortal Combat and like to watch action movies. Blinding them with intolerance and shielding them from the realities of today's modern age would be a disgrace and diservice to their intellectual capital.

Remember this. Jesus came to man as a man. He came to us with the ability to sweat, tire, play, think, feel. Do you think he had any testosterone?

Look in the mirror Jane. Ask yourself why you live on such a pillar of faith. Is it because you love or because you fear?

Love, Tom

By His own power He enters completely into each and all, and orders them throughout ungrudgingly; and, had He so willed, He could have revealed Himself and His Father by means of sun or moon or sky or earth or fire or water. Had He done so, no one could rightly have accused Him of acting unbecomingly, for He sustains in one whole all things at once, being present and invisibly revealed not only in the whole, but also in each particular part. This being so, and since, moreover, He has willed to reveal Himself through men, who are part of the whole, there can be nothing ridiculous in His using a human body to manifest the truth and knowledge of the Father. Does not the mind of man pervade his entire being, and yet find expression through one part only, namely the tongue? Does anybody say on that account that Mind has degraded itself? Of course not. Very well, then, no more is it degrading for the Word, Who pervades all things, to have appeared in a human body. For, as I said before, if it were unfitting for Him thus to indwell the part, it would be equally so for Him to exist within the whole. - St. Athanasius

Jane...

You need to speak about homosexuality in a more civilized and proper manner. People who profess to be Christians should remember the admonition of the apostle Paul when it comes to sharing God's word with those with whom we differ:

"And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,
"in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them
repentance, so that they may know the truth,
"and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been
taken captive by him to do his will."
(2 Ti 2:24-26)

Homosexuality and the Bible ~~

"If a man
has intercourse with a man as with a woman, both commit an abomination. They must be
put to death." -- Leviticus 20:33.

"No woman
may wear an article of man's clothing, nor may a man put on a woman's dress, for those
who do are abominable to the Lord your God." -- Deuteronomy 22:4.

These two scriptures represent laws from God handed down to Moses. So, according to the word of God, homosexuality is an abomination and all homosexuals should be killed. Well, I just don't see it like that. Sorry.

Let's take a look at some less popular laws that God has also handed down that are also supposed to be followed. I'm sure the Good Lord wouldn't want us to pick and choose among the laws that we were supposed to follow:

"When anyone has a discharge from his private parts, the discharge is
ritually unclean. All bedding on which anyone with such a discharge lies will be ritually
unclean,
and everything on which he sits will be unclean. Every earthenware bowl touched by the
person must
be broken." -- Leviticus 15:12.

"You are not to cut off the hair from your temples." --
Leviticus 20:27.

"You must not ... tattoo yourselves. I am the Lord." --
Leviticus 20:28

"No man whose testicles have been crushed or whose organ has been cut
off may become a member of the assembly of the Lord." -- Deuteronomy 23:1.

"The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals, and three hundred
sixty-two admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God
doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision."
