PeteR1700,

don't worry about being uninvited, just come on and speak your mind.
ABout "put up....": Compaq has obviously lost face with WallStreet. I was a little surprised that we didn't see a nice rise yesterday given Pfeiffer's statements. Also...today leads me to believe that people are waiting for Compaq to show actual results.

In short, words just aren't going to get it done for Compaq anymore. They need to show actual results and improvements. Once CPQ regains investors confidance this stock should rise... All this depends on whether Compaq is able to execute. Given the history..I say the chances are good.

CPQ seems to always gap up in the morning and then slowly drift downwards in the afternoon. Last week looked so promising since CPQ was actually able to hold on the early morning gains.
