Philip, I didn't say that the HiFD is without some technical problems. However, I am saying that Sony will be able to fix them, that is, if they do exist. Imation is not Sony.

I may be wrong, but having spent my career in the computer field, I would now be betting on Sony, not IOM.

Philip, the LS-120 sucks because virtually every article reviewing it trashed its speed/performance. Not to mention the non-existent marketing and lack of higher-profile promotions from its makers. People do read reviews and act on them. LS-120 has suffered because of this. It is only recently that the awfully-animated LS-120 Stupordisc ads have ran on TV.

According to Sony/Teac HiFi's specs, it is going to be over twice as fast as Zip. If HiFi gets favorable reviews, count on the assault on IOM stock price to be brutal. Hell, Sony could use a small amount of profits from its Playstation to smash Iomega in the face marketing-wise.
