Well said. Here's the thing. So far, we're batting 1000 on posters who feel they'd ought not post (for any reason, I'm not specifying here) and who are eloquent and elegant in their expression. Your contributions will be welcome on any thread. How many more excellent communicators are hiding? The SI genius lies in the fact that the fee weeded out a lot of garbage post(er)s. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's glad you're here, and glad you felt enough pressure at least to say hello. Yes, you and Karen are right in that we don't want mindless, meaningless posts. But I find it hard to believe that anything you'd deem publishable would be less than your high standards. It's clear that the SI audience of lurkers is full of good writers and thinkers. This GNET thing is creating pressure of a positive kind. Regards, Caroline
