How about Borland with the symbol BORL. I think Del invents new ways to hamper stock performance. He may be a good product manager, but for share performance he gets an F. Share performance is tied to investors' confidence, whether you like it or not. MSFT, IBM, YHOO, DELL are sample of companies run by CEO's who knew how to gain investors' confidence. Del, as soon as you think he has gained investors' confidence he finds a new way to botch things up.
I don't know why a CEO would replace a well known brand name with a brand new name. Would CokaCola or IBM or MSFT or Xerox change their names. I doubt it. OK Westinghouse became CBS, but at least both names were well known.
Another acquisition in six months? This translates to no improvement in stock value for another year. What a drag this share has been on my portfolio.
