BOHEMIA, NEW YORK - May 11, 1998 - IDC Solutions, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, has installed Interactive
Voice Response (IVR) systems with advanced calling card capabilities from Periphonics Corporation (NASDAQ: PERI).
With approximately - 120 million (just under $1 million) in capital, IDC Solutions is a leading provider of calling card,
aggregation and data services.

Five VPS/is IVR systems with the Periphonics Calling Card Platform (PCCP) support the Love Love Home Card T
System, a commercial pre-paid and post-paid credit/calling card service. The systems are connected to a DMS-100 switch
and a Sun Ultra 2 host.

"Our calling card services were previously supported by IVR systems that were unable to meet the demands of our market
growth," says Shinji Sakamaki, general manager, sales, at IDC Solutions. "The Periphonics calling card solution provides us
with the flexibility and functionality we need to manage our increasing call volume."

"We are pleased by this affirmation of our PCCP solution," said Gary Strzinek, vice president of international operations at
Periphonics. "We are confident that our open system architecture and robust platform will allow IDC Solutions to easily
expand and enhance their calling card services in the future, as the needs of their customers continue to grow."

Periphonics develops, markets and supports products and professional services for Computer Telephony Integration and for
Telecom Enhanced Network Services using technologies such as Interactive Voice Response (IVR), speech input, messaging,
fax and Web Browsers. The Company's products and services automate call and transaction processing, increase call center
agent productivity, and often create new revenue streams for our customers. Headquartered in Bohemia, New York (Long
Island), Periphonics has offices in seven countries and systems installed in more than 50 countries.
