I agree with you. Folks who focus on apparent negatives in the report (such as license growth relative to past quarters) are being influenced too heavily by the past. The keys to the success of this company lie in markets that are in their infancy today. My bet is that Ifmx will be the clear choice for high demand OLTP, multimedia, and OLAP. And the demands for these will increase dramatically with the continuing explosion of the internet and the widening of network bandwidths, both consumer and corporate (which will move the bottlenecks away from the network and more to the db engine). The big message this quarter is the confirmation of the viability that was established last quarter--i.e. last quarter was no fluke. Informix is for real!!
