SOLU subsidiary Distributed Networks, Inc. (subsidiary Dinet), located in Oceanside, CA, signed an agreement with GTE as a business partner. GTE, a $20 billion company, is one of the worlds largest cellular providers and is aggressively pursuing the installation of Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) capability in cities across the U.S. Dinet has the technology to interface its mobile data terminals, known as Data Mates, to the CDPD network thereby being able to supply providers with the much needed hardware and software. CDPD networks require Data Mate type hardware.

SOLU has designed a new GPS product based on specifications from foreign interests for the location of stolen vehicles. Radio signals are triggered by unauthorized movement, and in a few months the GPS unit will be capable of using cellular networks for tracking. We are also continuing to improve our CDPD technology in preparation of the advancing CDPD market which is predicted to be in the many billions of dollars. We now have agreements with GTE and AT&T, two of the largest CDPD providers, which allow SOLU to sell hardware and software products using their CDPD networks. SOLU President and CEO Michael Mc Laughlin said "he was excited about our relationships with these two giant companies, and especially about the prospects of residual.Income which we expect to begin in the next few months."
