In defense of NSCP, they were competing just fine until MSFT decided to give their competing product away. I don't think anyone is worried about the OS itself, its buying marketshare in different market through the OS. Remember Word Perfect? Quattro? Now it's networking with NT. The legal definition is called preditory pricing, and it is illegal. The justice department is finally gettin off it's ass, because someone(SUNW,NSCP) is publicly chastising them into doing their jobs. They are a fat,lazy,look the other way, how's my retirement bene's, typical government agency. (Someday I'll tell you how I really feel.) Kent

Gary I have enjoyed the discussion on MSFT. Since they are practically in my back yard and I have followed the company since before it went public ( and a few of my friends work there) I have a pretty good backround in its business practices. To be quite frank I agree with you . I am tired of all the whining about their so called "monopoly". They have done just what any good business would do. Bill's dad was part of a very successful law firm in Seattle and he consulted all along to make sure the company was "above board". Although on the surface it looks like a monopoly it is not. Other companies could have created successful OS's. Let the markets decide! Eric Sorry thread for adding to the off topic comments, but that is what makes life interesting!
