Caroline - are you aware that BKS does all the same things at their site ? And offers the same price ? and others guarantee a lower price ? and new players joining the game will undoubtedly compete with still lower prices and other add-ons ? That's why the valuation is ridiculous - this will be a highly competitive business and nobody will make much , if any , profit ! Your pledge of allegiance is wonderful , but I doubt AMZN will be able to take it to the bank...read some of today's posts - their CFO is now trying to redefine financial analysis to come up with a new concept of "profitability". It's a joke , but it's your money.

Caroline If AMZN is meeting your need as a consumer, then hurray for them. It is just like MDO sell consistent quality burgers and the world will beat a path to your door. I remember reading about the emergence of MDO in 1972 on a TIME magazine cover and since then they have sold billions of burgers. Will this happen to AMZN? The jury is out? Good services that meet the need of the consumer. If BKS fails to recognize who their customers are and what they want they will be supplanted in their quest for dominance. E-commerce is a free for all.
