I wrote QWEST suggesting they combine their monthly billing with that of the local phone company. Personally at this time I believe QWEST is over priced. They don't expect any earnings this year. Zacks shows 11 cents for 1999. They need to pick up a large user base and may be on the way to doing this.

Bill consolidation with the local company is fine...if you're the local company. It sucks if you want to combine traditional LD with the LD calls from your cellphone, local, internet, plus whatever else, then give discounts that look at the combined amount of all services. The LD companies have been doing combined billing with the RBOCs since 1986 but the trend is in a decline. AT&T just spent a gazillion dollars creating the capability of sending out their own bills.

Re: QWST billing by local LEC/CLEC

I use QWST for my LD service and my charges are included on my Ameritech bill.

The QWST billing is processed through U S Billing, Inc.
