Steven Farber,
I have said repeatedly I am not short ifmx. But I am a very long term investor, meaning I like to hold stocks minimum 2 years. Since I have this long term orientation I look closely at top line growth. I am merely posing the question, if ifmx won all these deals this quarter, why do we only have a 4% rise in license revenue? The only reason I am in ifmx is because the new IUS technologies are gaining momentum. I'd like to see some of that momentum hit the bottom line, before the new sql server comes out, which imo is going to eat everyones lunch.

Please clarify why with all these new deals we didn't see more top line growth, I'm not a financial person - are these going to hit next quarter or did we lose some this q?

Michelle

Steven, I agree with everything you said except the last part.

... grew year to year, and you are whining about "only" 4% license revenue growth?

Due to the restatements resulting in a loading up on expenses and reductions in revenue, any year to year comparison is suspect. When Bob F. bit the bullet on going for a 3 year restatement, it was orchestrated with the future in mind. At this point quarter to quarter comparisons are better a comparison and judgement point.

" this was a company that many people were talking about as a Chapter
11 candidate just months ago. Now it has put together 2 profitable quarters,
improved its cash/cash equivalent position, beaten analyst expectations, built
credibility with customers, held onto its developers (for the most part), fixed its
financial reporting, survived an unbelievable fiasco, continued to improve its
technology, grew year to year, and you are whining about "only" 4% license
revenue growth?

You must be short, and desperate."

Excellent statement, I couldn't agree more. It just shows how some people twist the facts to suit their position.
