Hi, Spots Yes, you're right. I mistakenly thought I had a peer-to-peer network because my two pc's are connected together without a hub. I never wanted to be a computer expert, just wanted to trade stocks from home. Maybe I should have stayed at the SOES firm where I started last year and let them take care of all the technical mumbo-jumbo for me <g>. Regarding your future, have you ever considered being a consultant, flying around the country teaching traders like me how to set up the best computer configuration in their home? I bet there is a need for someone to get folks started. I've been at this for nearly a year, now, and still feel like I'm just starting out. Learning how to trade the market is tough enough without having to learn computer networking at the same time. In a small town like mine there seems to be no one to really help. I do have a USP, by the way, but I think I'll soon need a better one with more capacity. I was hoping to avoid having to change to Windows NT. But I also don't think Windows 95 is good enough to do what I want. And I believe there may be loooooong delays getting Windows 98 installed, not to mention the problems inherent with something new like that, AND the fact that no one locally is going to know much about it in the near term. Now, more than ever, I'm convinced I need a computer expert close at hand. SO, instead of trading tomorrow, I'll probably start looking for one. Spots, I didn't realize you weren't a trader (yet). <g> Forgive me for that remark way back, please. Steve Goldman and a few others already beat me up severely for that stupid comment. How wrong I was. Guess I'll print out your recent posts and spend the rest of the night trying to figure it all out. Thanks a lot! Bill
