Picked up the mail, got the asl report, I see what you mean, it's very well done.
Here's their bit on underbalanced drilling;

A drilling technique whereby the downhole hydrostatic pressure of the drilling fluid is reduced to the point that the reservoir pressure is greater than the pressure leaving the bit. As the formation is being drilled, reservoir fluids and gases enter the wellbore and circulate or flow to surface. Underbalanced drilling can reduce formation damage associated with traditional overbalanced operations, increase penetration and bit life, minimize common drilling problems such as lost circulation and differential sticking, and ultimately improve hydrocarbon recovery.

So basically, by using ubd, you're not blowing bits of crud into the pores and cracks and plugging up the oil outside the hole. There's a clear bit on 'sand frac', too.
