But it fails to penetrate the actual markets that are growing so quickly. The patent thing is nice, but will not substitute for a Windows 95, Windows NT, Office 97, Dell Direct sales model, or Cisco router and hub. These companies are riding the growth curve to its fullest extent, and IBM's management is using its size as an excuse for not participating.
