To all:

Rothschild was appointed by Todd because a) BEA would not let Todd himself be appointed to the RMTR Board, b) b/c Todd believed Mike had the vision and experience to make RMTR work. Todd structured it so that MR would be paid with some of BEA's RMTR shares (I don't recall how much). Once Todd decided to leave BEA (June/July 97), he began to sytematically liquidate his large positions. He sold the majority of his shares in the hedge fund he managed. The general funds at BEA though still had shares. It is my understanding that the management of BEA has minimal understanding of RMTR investment and is not interested in determining whether or not to maintain their position. Therefore they are currently selling off the remainder of their shares.

FWIW.
