the Rightline Newsletter is a newletter that has run statistical analysis on stock splits and tried to predict company splits as company's stock prices tend to react very favorably to them. although 2 to 1 splits tend to perform better than 3 to 1 splits, they are close in performance. this newsletter is available through the net for a free 2-week trial. it however predicts splits of large companies based on historical split prices and split ratios. in a nutshell, although a stock split does not create change the market value theoretically...as byron has said, it sure does when it comes to the pocketbook dwlima
