Doug,

What are your thoughts about a market correction? Is it over for now or is this a false run?

Thanks

Doug--

I've begun to put together tracking on Blue Sky, but don't have figures together yet. Maybe the weekend. One that showed up twice on the scan(and one of my personal favorites) is GPS...broke out of the gates yesterday and kept going today.

Today's Blue Sky...

Stairs

Doug, I realize I need to refine my intuitive idea of stairsteps. The key to me in your statement was the low volume by a small group of investors. Much less dramatic, but fundamentally more profound influence, than the dynamic, high volume, momentum-driven steps I've been keying in on.
Do any of the following fit your definition of stair pattern?

HARC
ISIG
LMAR
WOSI

Thanks

Ocote

mcre,it was up two percent today, in the short stuff i posted last night i keyed it in about 10 times, as it looked especially strong even yesterday. it did that 96 hitch i believe you mentioned to george a while back on csre, and what to look for, i did check the 3mamlr yesterday and it had crossed above which i viewed as a strong positive, other shortstuff appeared in place as well...it was down most of the day and i thought i would be here with my tail between my legs...

Doug,
UTI is supposed to report tomorrow AM. Big discrepancy between Zack's and First Call estimates. UTI is a land driller heavy into gas, the only sub-segment of the drillers that's NOT been beating estimates. Comments of other gas drillers during recent conference calls have been about retreating day rates and rig utilization. I suspect that's partly behind today's retreat; some fear tomorrows report might be less than stellar.

UTI failed to successfully break resistance around 19ish four times now (Jan, March, and twice in April; that's not very 56ish, is it?). Does the March gap at 14 1/2 "have" to be filled before the January gap at 20 (closed today @ 17 3/8, -15/16)?

Youi might also want to look at UTI's cousin UNT. Up 8.3% today on >4X normal volume after an abismal report yesterday.
