I'm almost positive I read Rhapsody will support OpenGL.
I believe that the MacOS will also support it at some
future time.

Macs do currently support OpenGL - a company called Conix has produced an excellent implementation that is not only hardware enabled (RAVE, 3DFX) but also very reasonable (license fees).

It's a very fast implementation. conix3d.com
