Thanks your thoughts, i-gal. Yep, the numbers were good, but not exciting. Very good control of expenses, but license revenue growth wasn't really there (I haven't replayed the conference yet). However, given that I expected a loss, I'm very happy with the 3 cents.

I don't share the same concerns about MSFT. Certainly, they'll dominate the low end shrink-wrap market, and do well on mid-sized NT platforms. However, I don't see MSFT as a threat to the high-end, enterprise market: #1 - the product is not there and it doesn't run on UNIX (yeah, yeah, I know, 3090's will soon be replaced by Compaq servers running NT any day now), and #2 - MSFT doesn't serve corporate enterprises very well. Just as MSFT improves its offering, the market will set even higher expectations. I don't think they'll every quite catch-up.

I think that we're entering an age of gargantuan databases. I believe that the market will pay a premium for superior database technology. In the mid and long-term, I think IFMX will do OK. Bob F oozes integrity and smarts. CIOs love that. Will we see $15 by year-end?... I dunno, possible but optimistic.

Good luck!
