Jack & all: There is more discussion of FDC on the CKFR thread than there is here. FDC longs might want to check it out.

I have no position in FDC, long or short. I do think electronic billpay and electronic bill presentment are both poised for explosive growth. But I believe CKFR has an enormous lead over the MSFDC joint venture, and a more rational business model. CKFR is my largest holding.

With that full disclosure out of the way, I am keeping an open mind about MSFDC's ability to get its act together and turn what are currently only "vaporware" products into real competition for CKFR.

Opinions, anybody?

OH. ;)

Sorry. I was in a bad thread and a little uptight. I am an FDC owner and am unfamiliar with CKFR

I will do a little homework on the status of the jv and report back.

I always viewed the progress in the jv as evidenced by FDC's recent developement cost acceleration, as a "kicker" and a future invesment but not a main reason to own FDC. Certainly a part of their future and an important one.

As FDC's annual letter states: "With over 2 million merchant customers, if these merchants move to the internet who has the best chance to win this business? FDC."

What are CKFR's annual revenues ??

I'll report back soon.

Thanx for the reply. I feel like the out-of town drunk who drove through your town like Rodney Dangerfield. Woke everybody up !!
