PNT,

VII went into transition from the chart formation in question in July '97. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to assume that a secondary was on one burner or another back then. An uptrend defining the supply/demand dynamic set in motion by the pre-transition activity accelerated at the time of the post transition breakout (yeah, yeah I know, you have no idea what I'm talking about). The accelerated trend should provide support a bit under 8. On or about 5/22 there is an interesting intersection of trendlines. I would expect a decent move (one way or the other) on or very close to that date. For those interested, use the highs on 9/30 and 11/10/97 and the lows on 5/27/97 and 1/13/98. As that stuff gets worked out, a thorough TA will indicate which direction a nice move will go.
