WR -- there are no islands and there is no such place as "away" I want people to get REAL motivated and get as much y2k crap remediated as possible. GO TAVA!! Situations such as the one I happen to live in might be less problematic in the short term for possible y2k disruptions, but the view from out here is if there's serious and sustained difficulties, we're all going to feel it. I'll just be feeling it with a very nice view and a bit more elbow room.
