There is never any news on this from VLNC. When asked, the company says that Delco's research is their own and they can't comment. Delco is supposed to be investigating Li-Poly as a Starting-Lighting-Ignition battery and they share the Henderson building and pay something like $50K per month to share the space there. They were also paying milestone payments but there haven't been any for several years, leading me to think that Delco has different ideas about it now. This is not to say that the idea is dead, but there are a lot of considerations that go into such a major application. The lack of news may also be just standard top secret procedure.

Bottom line: Who knows?
