STock ramblings:-
RII - Republic Industries GREAT chart !!! looks ready to bust over 30.
NSCP - chart looks good, best performing NAS stock this month or year according to CNBC. NSCP will finally capitalize on its browswer, rumors of tie in with SEEK, possible partnership. Will dramatically increase net revenue to NSCP. Stock has to work on 30, once it gets thru that, should go to 45.
CBS - company right on track- earnings and revenue. great hold, don't trade, just hold it.
EDS, earnings report sounds positive. good action for this dog. if it starts running, should easily go from 43 to 50.
nscp and cbs are my Z contest picks. was going to go with LOCK and SEVL, but didn't want to embarass everyone. ggg larrry

Paul

My Picks TDW & HRSH

TDW Oil services have been hammered and are reporting better then expected earnings. As of now TDW hasn't reported.

HRSH Love the f/a on this one if breaks above 10 1/8-1/4 could well start an uptrend. Trailing PE 10.7

Good luck to all

Z Contest Picks.

Paul,

My picks are Intervoice (INTV) and Applied Magnetics (APM).

Intervoice has been on a roll lately after basing near 8 for several months and it recently broke out on the weekly chart. My short term target is 15 to 16 and longer term I think the stock will trade to 22.

Applied Magnetics has been basing near 10 since January 98. There's no telling when the stock will move but I think it's at rock bottom and will eventually be a big winner. My short term target is near 12, and longer term I think it will go much higher given my belief that the entire HD sector is bottoming.

Good luck to everybody.

Dan

Paul - to give everyone a fighting chance this time, I will not choose ASND as one of my contest picks, although 60 or bust is still my favorite phrase. gg I will instead select DMIC and CRUS. Thanks for all your efforts.

Two months is like a lifetime in the IC arena. I do not know if I can trust a medium term constannt rise in any of them expecially with the Duldroms of Summer approaching. Therefore, you get 1 non tech stock (ORAL) and a networking stock, NCDI as my choices for the contest.

But what do I know. These "long term" committments are not my forte (see results of last contest).<GGGG>

Good luck to me since I will need it this time around<GGG>

PZ,
I'd like to enter with two shorts:

1. Short SonoSight (SONO). This is a spinoff of ATL Ultrasound (just started trading at the beginning of April). About 8 1/2 now. Company has a lot of promise for next year or the year after (will make a handheld ultrasound tool for diagnostic purposes), but should be trending down over the next two months, perhaps as low as 3 or 4, perhaps even lower. Has 4.9 million shares, burn rate of more than $10m/year, got $18m on April 6 from ATLI, will get another $12 next January. But they don't have a working prototype yet (due in Q3), no revenue, have to set up a distribution system, payroll, all of the things that a working business needs. They will subcontract out much of that stuff to ATL for awhile, but they have a lot of work to do for now. More details at the SONO thread, if you want them. Short term, its got a hole under it.

2. Short MSFT. I've always wanted to do this, and fortunately for me, never have done it. What can be said about MSFT at this price (or even half this price!)? Time to go down for a couple of months.

Sam

My picks are HMAR and PAIR. I figure if I keep picking them they will go up one day.

Big Bro needs clarification! Are you averaging the %'s or weighting by
the stock prices? At any rate, I'll go with the two stocks that have
saved my ass. AOL and DELL. I don't know what to say that isn't already
known. DELL is clearly at the top of its game (it's also ready to shoot,
technically), and AOL's just one to ride.
