Sonki.

RPC. Thanks I will try to pull it up on my tape.

PIR. It's not doing too much today.

Merck. Must be suffering along with the downgrade on LLY.

CPQ had a nice upgrade but don't know if it will keep at this level. DOW is up again but NAZ with our techs is laboring.

MCIC. I don't have it. Just put the article on to show that WCOM should be alright by buying it. MCIC did better this qtr. WCOM with presents on the net through UUNET should be moving up again one of these days. gg.

HD and Lowes should be doing great with the housing boom. Also that boom got a little damper today. Housing starts slowed down. Interest rates are declining again today.

WFC. When I was discussing the bank stocks last year I recomm. WFC in the mid 250's. It is going like this battery commercial. Never stops going. It's up to the mid 350's. I don't have bank stocks but wish I had bought this one. gg.

I guess we will have a sloppy market for a while but in the end it will get to that 10.000 number. I don't know why I thought Japan was closed today. Early session was up and Hong Kong did alright also, so maybe Asian flu is getting better.

Hi Sonki. Merck. Just in case you are worried. I have not been able to find out yet why Merck is down like this despite the DOW being up. There is still all this talk about Merck losing drugs to patents expiring. But Merck has plenty things in the pipeline that should offset this and there is talk about a 3:1 split again later this year.

I will put the article on in which Merck discusses their pipeline. There is no important news I have been receiving today but I am sure something will be said with Merck down 5 points again.

biz.yahoo.com

I also discussed the other day that Merck is coming out with a blockbuster pain killer drug that will be better to stomach.

There is this new drug coming out by a company, can't think of the name right now, that would replace a lot of the Morphine use. It will not have the side effects that Morphine has. Alert wise. Maybe that has something to do with the action in Merck today. But I am not worried about Merck. Like I said earlier: Volatile market. Drugs have been named again as defensive should the market retreat. I guess we will find out.

Sonki. Merck. I just read that an analyst from Morgan Stanley Dean Witter has a neutral on Merck and cut estimates by a few pennies.

There is also talk that Merck said their margins were a bit lower.

Well, it looks like we have another good buying opportunity coming up.
