Jeff - Re: " I wonder how long this can last? I wonder why anyone would buy AMD notes knowing the AMD rising negative gross margin and cash flows? "

Maybe AMD has MORE POTENTIAL...to LOSE LESS MONEY in the future!

Jeff,

On a bid this week we received Celeron based proposals from
Compaq, NCR, and IBM who say they will be available next week.

Prices about $100 per system higher than P200MMX.

Seems the majors are adopting.

Larry

Envision Computer stores (www.env.com) are advertising a complete 266MHz Celeron system, including 14" monitor, for $999 in the LA Times today. 32MB SDRAM, AGP 3D Graphics w/ 4MB, 56Kbps Modem, 3.2GB HD, 32bit sound card 24x CD-ROM. I think AMD is going to be in trouble.
