You are right I got my symbols mixed up. I was referring to McDonalds. If AMZN business model works and Wall Street seems to feel that they might, it will be hard to bring AMZN to the low 20's. I am short and have bailed out once and am back in. Can they offer good service and low prices to their customers and still make money on a slow growth and low margin market. Is selling books a commodity item? Is it price or volume sensitive?

Look like it is volume sensitive to me. Then AMZN must get as many books and other assorted services out of the door as fast as possible.
Sacrifice margin for brand recognition?

Have you look at USWB (U S Web) another internet play? Another one of those company intent on brand recognition. I am short on them too.
