Notice how in all the rhetoric spewing out of Redmond, none of it seems to mention any concern about losing marketshare to "the competition"? Delaying a new product in a healthy competitive environment would only affect Microsoft, not the U.S. economy. If Ford stopped making trucks; people could choose from a dozen other makes with similar utility value. Can the same be said of PC Operating Systems? F**K Windows Developers; they should develop for two or more OS's and they would not find themselves in a bind. Tying themselves to a single source supplier is their problem. Maybe they need a good wake-up call.
