The semi-equips couldn't keep the ball rolling for three weeks in a row. The group was down 4 percent for the week. Ten (10) of the group were up, 29 down, and 2 stayed the same. I posted this table configuration just 2 weeks ago, but I have to do it again. It has to do with PLAB. On April 16 for the first time it closed higher than either its 1995 or 1997 high. I then compared all 41 stocks in the group to see if any others had done the same trick. PLAB was all by itself. On Friday, 4/17, it closed a little higher so I did the comparisons and posted the result, #1900. Today, it is still all by itself and making the spread between first and second place even more striking. It seems to prove the old maxim, if the stock breaks out to new all-time highs, it has no overhead supply and will just keep on-going to further new highs. Joe, you really know how to pick em. You have about a 10 bagger now don't you? Also, how much higher is this stock going to go? Certainly in hind-sight, I think it is by far the best of the best performance of the 41 stocks over the last five years. Is it going to be another AMAT? Joe, thanks for the stock tips. What do you think of ETEC at these levels. I admire your commitment to FSI. When I look at FSI vs AMAT, there is no comparison. If you are going to own the equipment stocks, wouldn't want to own the leader? I to am very concerned about Asia. One of my problems is that I am impatient. And, I have no clue how much longer this downturn is going to go. However, the last time we had a downturn (1996), when it turned around these stocks went through the roof. I don't want to miss out.
