Good morning Puddinhead!

Yes, much like Daniel's visions in need of interpretation, I always viewed these words as analogies, not literal descriptions. Again, I could be VERY, VERY wrong, but that is just the way I saw it.

<<<And out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like that of a scopions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass or tree or plants of the earth only those who did not have God's seal on their foreheads (remnant of 144,000). They were not given power to kill them (those who took the beast mark) for 5 months only to torture. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man. During this time men will seek death but not find it, they long to die but death eludes them">>>

I think nosty perhaps also has a quatrain in which helicopters were described as locusts. I'll have to look into that. In this day and age, I have thought of the terror that causes suffering but doesn't kill (at least initially) to be chemical warfare. Those inflicted will yearn for death and the suffering equates to the pain and agony cause by a scorpion's sting. Feasible, dont you think, given the increase in biological weapons that "don't harm the grass or trees"?

I could be crazy and we're definitely getting into IMO's here, but how does one describe a helicopter when they have concept of what it it?

<<<The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle (they were big). On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was like women's hair and their teeth were like lion's teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron and the sound of their wings was like a thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. They had tails and stings like scorpions and in their tails they had power to torment people for 5 months".>>>

"horses prepared for battle" - might be seen as such when a multitude are lined up at an army base
"crowns of gold" - rotators could be viewed as such, especially those with the yellow tips
"human faces" - many copters have split windsheilds that resemble too eyes. Plus human faces can be seen within. Many copters (and other aircraft) in the past have actually have teeth painted on them to conjure fear in the enemy.
"women's hair" - never made that piece fit, but could be the gas vapors from the craft
"lion's teeth" - see above
"breastplates of iron" - self explanatory
"wings was like a thundering of many horses" - self explanatory
"tails" - self explanatory
"torment for 5 months" - the course of a viral infection brought about by chemical weapons

Again, just idle speculation to amuse one's mind. I'm certainly not married to it!

As far as copying posts, I simply cut and pasted with a little tinkering.)

God Bless,

Clo
