In today's Barron's, Eric Savitz weekly Technology article mentions that Paul Meeks ( who will be running large cap tech fund for Merrill Lynch )"likes another group of battered stocks - the contract manufacturers, like Sanmina and Flextronics". He argues that exposure to weak PC market is overblown, when most of their revenues come from communications equipment firms. The specific paragraph is on page 69.

I've noticed that the stock prices in the disk drive sector ( eg SEG ) have rebounded strongly in 1998 off of their lows in 1997, primarily due to bargain hunters..Perhaps IMSX market valuation will also reap the benefits from these recent trends???
