Jeff-

ALYD's core technology is an extremely flexible technology which can be used for many other thing besides Y2K. I find it humorous that people see ALYD as one dimensional.

The issue about needing an acquisition for life after Y2K puzzles me... the acquisition will only add additional resources.

If ALYD is smart... they are modifying SmartCode for Euro work, COBOL system consolidation, platform transition, and other things which will serve as value added services to their existing client base. They don't need an acquisition to offer these services TODAY! Anybody who says ALYD needs an acquisition to have life after Y2K does not understand the company or the SmartCode technology. Maybe the company needs to do a better job leveraging the technology, engineers, and sales people they already have instead of just focusing on acquisitions for life after Y2K... which starts today.

The company definitely needs to do a better job at managing the expectations of Wall Street and getting their message out about about how they already have "life after Y2K" in house with their existing technology base!
