I don't mean to throw water in your face but look at the performance of the RYOCX and RYNVX over the past few years? So how can you tell me its not a good idea? And for the unsophisticated investor, hedging in a negative beta fund I see as the way to go. If indexing wasn't so in vouge then why would have INTEL gone and indexed their retirement programs and fired all their managers a few years ago? Is it not true that like 95% of all the managers out their don't beat the SPX index or what? Don't fight the trend Mike. It's not pretty, but it works.
