Great post, sandstuff! That is why I said the other day that Indonesia, Russia, Australia, Vietnam, etc, are great, but in my opinion the big prize will be China. This is just a personal opinion, not based on anything I have heard or read from DGIV. But if you start with your "most excellent" post, then consider that

- the Chinese diaspora is in some ways similar to the Jewish, Cuban, and Russian diaspora
- Like those diaspora, they are very diligent, intelligent, and astute in business
- The Chinese diaspora have been exiled since the post-war Communist revolution, and now have newly adopted homelands, many (most) of them being native to their new lands
- Still maintain a bond to their fascinating culture and potentially very wealthy cultural homeland

Now consider that

- China has been flirting with capitalism on and off
- the internet allows free and open communications between peoples, and exchance of information
- this exchange of information was a critical part of the sequence of events that opened the old Soviet Empire
- a similar thing may happen (almost inevitable) in China

And what I conclude is that as China opens up, that huge market will be a natural for the Chinese diaspora, who will help China to join the rest of the world's economies as an equal and open partner, in the same way that the Jewish diaspora helped Israel and the Russian diaspora is helping Russia (and the Cuban will help Cuba "very soon")

So that is why I think that China is the big prize. But this is not going to happen overnight. It may not be for another 10 years (mmm... where have I heard about a 10 year window this morning). By that time, DGIV may have conquered the world! :-)
