(AFC) AFCI announced today it has opened an Engineering facility in Broward County, Florida in order to service the growing global demand for AFC's UMC 1000(R) 3GDLC(TM) product family. Initial efforts at the Florida facility will focus on various digital broadband services, and will diversify as needed to support the development of the UMC 1000 product portfolio. All hardware and software engineering functional areas will be represented at this new AFC location, with room for expansion into other customer support areas.
