Ken, your simple rules are right on. Why are they so hard to
follow? <G>

Ken,

Very good analysis on long and short term trading, I think there is a lot of truth in what you said that most people don't think of while they are making their decisions. However, your assumption that Sentil is not successful or never will be based on his one question about the trading patterns of one stock is quite a leap. I think we all have stocks that we can predict better than others and stocks we can't pick no matter how hard we try. Who knows why but I really believe that is the case. When one finds a stock that they cannot read they should move on to another. I think that is the basis for the apparent hatred for IOM. The reason I stay with IOM is that I have been really successful with it over the last two years. Dell on the other hand has been quite a bugaboo in my crawl and I am barely ahead on it, even though many people have really cleaned up on it. That said I have made three mistakes in IOM since January (bought back in at 26 pre-split, did not sell over 10 after the big fall and did not sell at over 9 last week), maybe it is time for me to move on or maybe I'll get the hang of it again. Either way my point is that just because someone does not understand the moves of a single stock does not mean they cannot be successful overall.
Thanks
