Well wait a minute here.

Of course Dell sells to demand. Of course he is addicted.

But in light of MSFT miserable grass roots PR campaign that just got national derision, this seems to me to be another one of those efforts.

You can imagine how difficult it would be for Dell to "Just say no to Bill" ?

Maybe that is too cynical, but I have found it difficult to be too cynical when looking at how MSFT does business.

When I bought my Dell PC in January they asked me what OS I wanted. Mr. Dell sells to
the demand...not because someone is telling him what to do.

That meaning Win95 or NT? Scrapps correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't think DELL or any other big name PC Maker would install another OS like OS/2 or Linux or ?

BTW, I'm researching Notebook computers and am close to buying one. When I add everything up, all the features, software etc. I can't seem to beat DELL. Sure WinBook is there but the DELL has a larger H.D and more memory. I would welcome anyone's opinions on Notebook's but right now it's looking like DELL for me.
