HP is really big into test equipment, so it isn't terribly surprising that they would offer a Fibre Channel/Gigabit Ethernet tester. Actually, since Gigabit Ethernet is based on the Fibre Channel physical layer, it was probably easier to add GE to their FC analyzer.

I'm glad you wore your Ancor t-shirt. Just think, perhaps someday people will be clamoring for those rare, early t-shirts. In the past, wearing an Ancor t-shirt was sometimes dangerous due to the increased risk of tar and feathering. <g>
