Hi, I'm a new poster to SI, but I have read and enjoyed Roger's thread since '97. This is truly the best and most reasoned thread on SI. Good job all!
Allthough I am a newer investor, a dark streak in my character implores me to short. It's un-American, I know, but what can I do?

Ya just gotta love those those guys at Stock Investor. They throw into their press release little tidbits like "oh, mentioned DELL, and uh.., IBM before, and uhhh... bought books at AMAZON once." and hyperlink to about $1 TRILLION worth of companies news headings with news of a third-rate tip sheet's Buy rec on K-Tel of all things.
Ahh...capitalism! Gotta love it!

Doug :)

Re: Stock Investor Trading News

These guys posted on AOL for a long time, and finally decided to go big time on their own terribly slow, poorly designed server.

This just goes to show that anyone can put out press releases, and possibly move markets. It's probably safer (in terms of lawsuits) to pump them up, than to slam them from the short side.
